As for it, we are looking forward to answer your questions in order to lift any doubts

regarding the disadvanges that could occur sometimes while dealing with online or distance purchases.

To avoid any litigation what so ever, the order has to get your final approval

according a bill of specifications previously determined by agreement with the client.

1. Acceptance conditions

The customer acknowledges having read, at the time of placing the order,

special conditions of sale set out in this contract and accept them without reservation.

These conditions of sale govern the contractual relationship between Caracteres de Chine and client.

These conditions shall prevail over all other conditions contained in any other document, unless prior express written consent. 


2. Products 

The products offered by Caracteres de Chine are restored or made in China only, the photos are sent to customers before sending.

The order is sent after the client's consent.

Each item contained in our catalog is unique (except Creations)


3. Order  

Following the intention to buy, Caracteres de Chine will send to the customer a purchase order form thru email.

The customer must return the purchase order form completed and signed by e-mail.

The sale will be concluded only after receiving the signed order and due payment.

The signing of the order by the customer is evidence of the nature, content and date of the order.

Caracteres de Chine confirms the acceptance of the purchase order to the email address provided.

Caracteres de Chine reserves the right to cancel any order from a customer with whom there is a dispute concerning the payment thereof.


In addition, Caracteres de Chine reserves the right to cancel any order from a customer that could not justify the shipping address.

When placing an order, the information provided by the buyer undertake the following:

in case of error in the address of the recipient, the seller can not be held responsible for failure to deliver the product.


The order process is an important time during which you need to be cautious regarding the nature of the furniture you order (size, use, etc. ...)

The team of Caracteres de Chine remains at your disposal and will advise you using his long experience to prevent any disputes.


4. Delivery  

The delivery of the ordered furniture is made to the nearest of the customer's home harbor.

Delivery time is 40 to 60 days after the sending.

Relevant documents for the reception of the parcel will be communicate to the customer indeed.


Delivery of fasteners and small items is done by secured parcel service.

The delivery takes a minimum of 5 days up to 15 days after shipment of the parcel.


5. Price

The prices quoted by Caracteres de Chine are expressed in Euros or U.S. Dollars.

The price indicated in the confirmation order is the final price, except where duly reported by Caracteres de Chine.

Transport modalities are set in agreement with both parties.


6. Payment   

The price charged to the customer is the price indicated on the purchase order sent by “Caractères de Chine”.

Payments are made through SWIFT bank transfer to the Hong Kong Company account.

The bank details are given in the order.


The payment of furniture ordered in China, which has to be shipped by container, splits as follows:

60% with order and 40% once shipped from China after acceptance of photos.


However, 100% payment with order is required for fasteners and any items sent by Airmail parcel.


The proof of receipt slip signed by the customer is returned to “Caractères de Chine” as an act of faith.


7. Legal

Complaints or disputes are always received with attention.


In case of dispute, the client contacts “Caractères de Chine” customer’s service.


Disputes that can open to discussions:

Scratches affecting the aesthetics of furniture – damage/breakage - Problem preventing the use of the furniture - Design error


Are not considered litigation:

- Problems of color, appearance or dye

- Problems due to wrong size or wrong estimates made by the customer.

- Problems due to a misinterpretation of the client about the shape, volume, style, use ...

And more generally, when the furniture is not suitable for any reasons not involving “Caractères de Chine”.


The most common problems are related to a misinterpretation of dimensions:

The furniture is whether too big to be delivered to the customer (stairwell, elevator, width of the doors, etc ...) or takes up more space than expected (slanting wall, the presence of a baseboard, etc ...)


8. Privacy notice

“Caractères de Chine” vows never to disclose information on its customers for free or for consideration to others.

The customer can modify all his datas. He is entitled to request the removal of his file to “Caractères de Chine” .

The client correspondence address is useful to our service to invoice the order and proceed to a delivery on time.

The telephone number of the customer allows deliverers and “Caractères de Chine” services to contact him and track its order.

The email address of the client allows us to confirm the order, and discuss any further issues.
